We do not accept applications at this time. However, we encourage you to check out and apply to our annual scholarship program, the The Volunteer Service Scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
The team at Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC is offering a scholarship to one law school applicant or current law student who exemplifies what it means to overcome adversity and thrive academically and personally.
Those who are accepted to or enrolled in an accredited law school are welcome to apply. The scholarship is worth $2,500 and the deadline to submit your application is December 15, 2021.

The criteria for applicants is not rigid — adversity takes many forms, and may include a physical disability or hardship, difficult financial circumstances, hurdles within your family life, or another form of adversity.

Eligibility For the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Scholarship
In order to qualify for the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA)
- Be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited law school
- Submit an essay of no more than 750 words on the relevant topic
- Agree to the scholarship Terms and Conditions
Essay Topic
Write an essay of no more than 750 words describing which adversity you have faced, how you overcame the adversity, and how you believe that overcoming this adversity will help you in your academic and legal careers.
How to Apply For the Scholarship
Follow the instructions on this page to submit your essay. Complete the required fields in the adjacent form and submit your essay by the December 15, 2021 deadline. Only essays submitted via this form by the deadline will be considered.
Scholarship Applicants Terms and Conditions
All applicants must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited law school in order to be eligible for the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity scholarship. Applicants must submit their essay via the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity scholarship application page. Applicants must submit their essay by the December 15, 2021 deadline to be eligible.
No essay submitted after the deadline or via any means other than the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity scholarship application page will be considered.
Overcoming Adversity Scholarship Committee
All essays submitted before the deadline by eligible applicants will be reviewed by the Overcoming Adversity Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee will select the winning essay, and their choice is final.
The Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity Scholarship Committee is not responsible for technical problems or any other issues that prevent applicants from submitting their essay on time or through the appropriate application form.
The Scholarship Committee may request additional information or an up to date record from applicants.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Past recipients of the Overcoming Adversity Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC if he/she were to be awarded the scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships
Applicant Privacy Policy
No information submitted by applicants as part of the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC Overcoming Adversity scholarship application process will be used for any purpose other than evaluating their essay. Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC will not share, sell, or otherwise disseminate applicants’ information submitted for the purpose of applying for the Overcoming Adversity scholarship.
Announcement of the Scholarship Winner
Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC reserves the right to announce the Overcoming Adversity scholarship winner—as well as post part or all of their essay:
- On the Farmer & Morris Law, PLLC website
- On the firm’s social media channels
- Via press release
